Bluephies

Breakfast, breakfast, breakfast!!! What person does not crave a killer breakfast after a late nighter… if you don’t, you might want to check to see if you’re human? If a great breakfast in Madison is what you’re looking for, you don’t have to look much further than Bluephies (located on 2701 Monroe St. Madison, WI). As a hard-core fan of the 80’s, I absolutely LOVE the style of Bluephies Restaurant, and those of you who have been there before know just what I’m talking about…

The breakfasts at this local Madison favorite are soo on point (Stuffed French Toast, Crab Cake Eggs Benedict, Breakfast burrito, and Banana-Pecan Pancakes have all been tested and approved by the RedRodger Staff personally), but they do serve up tasty fare at all meal times of the day. Bluephies offers huge portions of specialty pastas, salads, apps, and deserts… some of our recommendations would be to start off with the “Stuffed Baby Potatoes” or “Little Rice Balls with Roasted Tomato Aioli” (Bluephies has an outrageous appetizer selection you will not find any place else).

Now as far as mid-day meal selections go, their “Fig Chicken Salad” is super rad, and they also whip up an awesome “3 Cheese Baked Macaroni” as well as a type of curry/Thai style dish called “Bang Bang Noodles”. Onto dessert, um… don’t you dare leave this place without trying the “Ice Cream Tacos” or “Cookie Dough Egg Rolls” So the official recommendation would be to stop into Bluephies for the breakfast, and then come back for the lunch, dinner, and desert… this Madison restaurant is “good stuff” all around!
