Aviation Cocktail
2 ounces London dry gin
2 teaspoons Maraschino
3/4 ounce lemon juice
Shake gin, Maraschino, and the fresh-squeezed lemon juice with cracked ice, strain into cocktail glass.
Boxcar
2 ounces London dry gin
1/2 ounce Cointreau
1/2 ounce lime juice
1 egg whites
Shake ingredients well with cracked ice, then strain into cocktail glass rimmed with lime juice and dipped in sugar.
Dog's Nose
1/2 ounces London dry gin
1 pint ale
Drop a shot glass of London dry gin into a pint of porter, pale ale, or bitter ale.
Gin and Tonic
2 or 3 ounces London dry gin
1 wedge of lime
6 ounces tonic water
Mix and serve in a Collins glass with ice cubes.
Gin Rickey
1/2 ounce lime juice
2 ounces London dry gin
club soda
Squeeze lime juice into a glass full of ice, add gin, lime half, and top up with club soda.
Green Fizz
2 ounces London dry gin
1 teaspoon green creme de menthe
1 ounce lemon juice
1 egg whites
1 teaspoon superfine sugar
club soda
Shake everything with cracked ice in a chilled cocktail shaker then strain into glass.
Martini
1 ounce dry vermouth
4 ounces gin
Shake all ingredients with cracked ice, strain into a chilled glass, and garnish with green olives.
Old-Fashioned Gin Cocktail
1 sugar cube
2 dashes Angostura bitters
1 teaspoon water
2 ounces gin
Place the sugar in an Old-Fashioned glass, add 2 dashes bitters, a teaspoon of water, and muddle the sugar until it dissolves. Add 2 ounces gin, stir well, and add ice.
Paradise
2 ounces London dry gin
1 1/2 teaspoons apricot brandy
1 ounce orange juice
1/2 ounce lemon juice
Shake well with cracked ice, then strain into glass.
Singapore Sling
1 ounce London dry gin
1 ounce Kirschwasser
1 ounce Benedictine
club soda
Stir well with ice cubes, then pour unstrained into a glass and fill to taste with cold club soda. Garnish with the spiral-cut peel of a lime.
Sloe Gin Fizz
2 ounces sloe gin
1/2 ounce lemon juice
1 teaspoon superfine sugar
club soda
Shake well with cracked ice in cocktail shaker, strain into a small glass and splash the club soda in to make it fizz.
