“I’m a fan of the band Rocket From the Crypt,” Melt’s owner, Matt Fish, tells Asylum. “They let everyone who has a tattoo of their band into their shows for free, and that’s where I got the idea. Fish, who is also the restaurant’s primary cook, does require eligible tattoos to be in the style of the restaurant’s logo, which depicts a grilled-cheese sandwich and crossbones. However, what you do with that logo is up to you: Each of the 51 grilled-cheese lovers who have so far taken Melt up the offer have done so in different colors, shapes and sizes…”
